PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPT

All manuscripts must be submitted through the ANJLMS Online Journal System (OJS) as a Microsoft Word document. The ANJLMS follows established international standards for ethical, transparent, and responsible scholarly publishing.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts comply with the journal's formatting, ethical, reporting, and referencing requirements before submission.

Submission Document Form

All submissions to ANJLMS must be accompanied by a separate submission document form. The form should contain the full title of the article, the names of all authors with their academic designations, departmental and institutional affiliations, and email addresses.

The corresponding author must confirm that all listed authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript for submission and agree with the authorship sequence.

The author(s) must declare that the manuscript is original, has not been published previously, is not under consideration elsewhere, and does not contain plagiarized material. Conflicts of interest and sources of funding must also be disclosed.

Manuscript Formatting

Manuscripts should be prepared using Times New Roman font. The article title should be clearly distinguished from the main text. Line spacing should be single throughout the document, with justified alignment. Page numbers and continuous line numbers should be included where required.

Each major section—abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references, tables, and figures—should be clearly identified. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.

Title Page and Anonymity

The title page should include the article title, article category, abstract word count, manuscript word count, total number of references, and the number of tables and figures.

Where applicable, authors should not include identifying information in the blinded manuscript. Author names, affiliations, and contact details should be provided through the OJS metadata and submission documents.

Article Title

The article title must be clear, concise, and informative and should accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations and use sentence case where appropriate.

Abstract and Keywords

Authors must provide an appropriate abstract according to the selected article type. Keywords should accurately represent the main content of the manuscript and should preferably use recognized scientific terminology.

Keyword Guidance: Authors should select relevant and internationally recognized indexing terms whenever applicable.

Article Category and Word Counts

Authors must select the appropriate article category at submission. The manuscript word count should include the main text and should clearly exclude or identify the abstract, references, tables, and figure legends where applicable.

The total number of references, figures, and tables should also be stated where requested.

Language Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise academic English. Authors should ensure appropriate grammar, terminology, spelling, punctuation, and scientific presentation before submission.

Authors are strongly encouraged to seek professional language editing where necessary.

TYPES OF ARTICLES

1. ORIGINAL ARTICLE

Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the background, objectives, methods, principal results, and conclusions of the study.

Keywords

Provide relevant keywords representing the principal subject areas of the manuscript.

Introduction

Describe the background and rationale of the study, clearly state the research problem and objectives, and provide relevant recent literature.

Methods

Describe the study design, participants or materials, procedures, ethical approval, data collection methods, and statistical analysis sufficiently to permit reproducibility.

Results

Present findings clearly and logically using text, tables, and figures where appropriate. Avoid interpretation in the Results section.

Discussion

Interpret the principal findings in relation to existing literature, discuss limitations, and explain implications for research and practice.

Conclusion

State the principal conclusions and their relevance to the objectives of the study.

Declarations

Include statements relating to ethics approval, informed consent, funding, conflicts of interest, authors' contributions, data availability, and other relevant declarations.

References

References should be accurate, complete, consistently formatted, and cited consecutively according to the journal's selected reference style.

2. REVIEW ARTICLE

Review articles should provide a comprehensive, critical, and current synthesis of a clearly defined research topic. The literature search and selection methodology should be described where applicable.

Structure

The manuscript should normally include an abstract, keywords, introduction, thematic discussion, conclusion, declarations where applicable, and references.

3. CASE REPORT

Case reports should describe clinically or scientifically important cases and clearly explain the novelty, relevance, diagnostic findings, treatment or intervention, outcome, and lessons learned.

Structure

Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Case Presentation, Discussion, Conclusion, Declarations where applicable, and References.

4. SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND META-ANALYSIS

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses should provide transparent and reproducible evidence synthesis. Authors should follow appropriate reporting standards, including PRISMA where applicable.

Methods

The search strategy, databases, eligibility criteria, study selection, data extraction, risk-of-bias assessment, and synthesis methods must be clearly described.

5. SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Systematic reviews must clearly define the research question, search strategy, eligibility criteria, study selection process, data extraction, quality assessment, and method of evidence synthesis.

Reporting: Authors should provide a PRISMA checklist and flow diagram where applicable.

6. CLINICAL TRIALS

Clinical trials should be prospectively registered in an appropriate public registry where required. Randomized controlled trials should follow applicable CONSORT reporting standards.

7. SHORT COMMUNICATIONS AND COMMENTARY

Short communications should present concise and important findings, observations, methodological advances, or scholarly commentary that can be communicated effectively in a shorter format.

8. EDITORIAL

Editorials may address important scientific developments, emerging concepts, policy issues, or recently published research relevant to the scope of ANJLMS.

9. LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letters should be concise, focused, evidence-based, and directly relevant to the journal's readership or previously published work.

Tables

Tables must supplement the text rather than duplicate it. They should be numbered consecutively and supplied with clear titles and explanatory footnotes where necessary.

Figures and Photographs

Figures, photographs, charts, diagrams, and other visual materials must be of sufficient quality for publication and should be cited consecutively in the manuscript.

S.I. Units

Scientific measurements should be reported using the International System of Units (SI) wherever applicable.

Galley Proof Reading

The final version of the manuscript may be sent to the corresponding author for proof reading before publication. Authors should carefully review the proofs and communicate corrections promptly.
