CORRECTIONS, RETRACTIONS AND EDITORIAL EXPRESSIONS

ANJMLS follows internationally accepted principles of publication ethics and the relevant recommendations of COPE and ICMJE.

General Policy

Disagreements, complaints, or requests for corrections concerning manuscripts published or submitted to the ANJMLS should be addressed to the Editorial Office. Corrections affecting the publication record or scientific accuracy will be considered when supported by appropriate and verifiable evidence. ANJMLS follows ICMJE and COPE principles when evaluating post-publication concerns. Corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, and editorial statements are appropriately linked to the original article to preserve the integrity and transparency of the scholarly record. These provisions apply to all article types published by the journal.

Publisher Correction

Errors introduced by the journal during editorial processing, production, or publication that materially affect the accuracy, integrity, presentation, or attribution of a published article will be corrected by the editorial team. Where appropriate, a formal correction notice will be linked to the affected article.

Author Correction

Authors are responsible for promptly notifying the Editorial Office of errors that materially affect the scientific content, methodology, data, results, interpretation, or conclusions of a published article. Minor typographical or formatting errors that do not affect the scientific meaning or publication record generally do not require a formal correction. Where a correction is warranted, ANJMLS will normally publish a linked correction notice rather than replacing the original article without an appropriate record of the change.

Retraction

Retraction of a published article may be considered when substantial problems undermine the reliability, integrity, or ethical standing of the publication. Circumstances may include major errors in results or calculations, fabricated or falsified data, serious image manipulation, plagiarism, redundant or duplicate publication, unethical research practices, or significant undisclosed conflicts of interest that could have materially affected the study or its interpretation.

A retracted article will remain accessible where appropriate, with a prominent retraction notice clearly linked to the original publication. The reasons for retraction will be stated transparently. Authors will normally be notified and provided an opportunity to respond before a final editorial determination is made, except where circumstances require immediate action to protect the integrity of the scholarly record. Retraction decisions are made by the appropriate editorial authority in accordance with applicable COPE guidance.

Editorial Statements & Expressions of Concern

Where a published article is subject to a credible unresolved concern, the Editors may issue an editorial statement or an Expression of Concern to alert readers while an investigation is ongoing. Such notices will be displayed prominently and linked to the original article. The notice may subsequently be updated or replaced by a correction or retraction when the investigation has been concluded.

Post-Publication Critiques

ANJMLS supports responsible post-publication scholarly discussion through letters, commentaries, correspondence, and other appropriate academic communications. Substantive concerns raised by readers or researchers may be evaluated by the Editorial Office and, where warranted, referred for further investigation. The journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when supported by the available evidence and applicable publication-ethics standards.
